1st Draft Academy exists for the purpose of helping bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to indigenous people’s around the world.

Started in 2020 under the name “Their Own Tongue” a passionate group of individuals began the work of dubbing material from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints into the Tseltal language. This Mayan language group is spoken by almost 600 thousand individuals in the geographically isolated mountains of Chiapas, Mexico.

From those humble beginnings the project has grown to encompass 12 different languages around the world and works under the direction and approval of The Church.

Our hope is to continue to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through this work so that all can hear it in their own tongue.
